"saliva . . . " is a minimalist-performance exploration over the course of the nine days leading up to Tisha b'Av, in which I explicitly did not spend any time playing music that could be construed as anything but mourning. I held the same awkward position, even my fingers, for long stretches of time and focused on the textures of saliva flowing through the alto.

I contracted COVID during the Nine Days and rapidly was unable to keep up the action for more than a few minutes; you can hear me gasping for breath.
